    Daer Members,

I'm trying to see if my smartphone could work with 360 cameras:

which sensors should my phone support ?

Gyroscope ? Only this one ?

Just an accelerometer is not enough ...?

Reply please hope you can help

Hi robysurf. The 360 cameras that have automatic vertical orientation correction use internal gyros. They don't use the gyro in your phone. So that will not be a limitation.

You would still have to check for compatibility with your phone. For example, the Ricoh Theta is compatible with iOS and Android phones, while Samsung Gear 360 is natively compatible only with the latest Samsung flagship phones (yes there are workarounds).

Which phone do you have and what kind of features are you looking for in a 360 camera?

    Best regards,
