Ok, so Insta360 Studio requires 2:1 aspect ratio. If your camera doesn't record in 2:1, the options will be greyed out. For example, on the Nikon Keymission, 4K mode gives 3840 x 2160 which is not 2:1 so you need to shoot your video at the 1920...

The Samsung is higher quality and higher resolution. No contest.
Downside:
- Twice the price
- Only works with Samsung phones
The Samsung is higher quality in every way. But,
It is not twice the price: $199 vs $349.
It works on other phones too. The software has been hacked (with no danger) to work on other Android phones.

It is a better camera.
Prices vary, depending on where you shop.
Hacked software sounds a bit 'jinky', as in 'no real support from Samsung'.
Doesn't this discussion belong in the Comparisons section of the forum?
